Banquinho Germek

Mesmo no silêncio soube me mostrar o quanto a vida é maravilhosa e jamais devemos desistir.

[EN] This was just a simple wooden stool that my Grandfather Emilio Bruno Germek made with his own hands. Germek, already deceased, as well as a great human being, was an incredible Agronomist. On this little stool I illustrated a little of his beautiful story.
Son of an Italian mother and Austrian father, Emilio was a lover of nature; As an agronomist, he has made incredible achievements such as: Genetic improvement of rice, beans, soybeans, wheat, corn, rye and other foods. In addition to his wonderful work with rice germplasm, whose breeding work is reflected to this day, with more than a dozen new cultivars, he has also worked in the domestication and acclimatization of many species of agricultural plants, among which we can highlight his Pioneering work with Kiwi, Pupunha, Calabura, among many other species that have passed through his hands as a breeder.
Finally, his contributions were so many, but one of the coolest is his discovery of a method that originated the great diversity of colors of the Bougainvillea.
Here is my simple homage and gratitude for each teaching. Even in silence he showed me how wonderful life is and we should never give up.
